For our Fall/Winter 21 season, we are proud to present a series of prints and graphics in collaboration with the pro mountain trail runner and multimedia artist Christian Gering. Hailing from Katishtya (San Felipe Pueblo) and the Pi’pil people of El Salvador, Christian’s running and art inform one another as he explores the interconnection between movement, place, community and time within these kinetic, joyful designs.
Behind the Summit print
The geological-inspired Summit design evolved from a conversation around "mountain logic" — how a runner forms the link between earth and sky through their ascent and descent of vertical terrain. Look for the ladder in the print, symbolizing that connection and transcendence.
Behind the Star Cover print
Proliferating a single star (represented by a four-pointed directional cross) into a sky pattern, this joyful composition symbolizes the never-ending fabric of time and represents a connection across generations to ancestors who guide us, lighting our path.
Behind the Under Cover print
A monochromatic, reflective version of the “Star Cover” print rotated on a 45º axis like stars shooting across the night sky. This design represents a connection across generations to ancestors who guide us, lighting our path.
