Give this a chance

The top felt oversized and loose when I initially tried it on, but I read on the label that it can shrink a half size in the wash. This is exactly what it did and the fit felts more comfortable on the second wear.
I bought the top for the Merino Wool (I dabbled with some merino wool socks over the summer and I am a total convert), anti-odour properties, but was disappointed on the first use because it didn't seem to work. After the first wash however the performance seems to be much improved. I wore it for a 13 mile run and there was no odour at the end even though I had run with a jacket on.
The top is very thin so will not keep you warm on its own in cold weather. I believe it will be good for layering. It has no bulk so could easily fit under another long sleeve top and is very comfortable under a jacket. It is very soft to the touch and there are no seams or labels to snag you when you are running.
