M's 8" Trail Half Tight

This is what I stuff into the shorts at the start of a run when I want to make full use of the capacity for my personal needs. There would likely be room for two or three gels as well. No significant (or even zero) bounce, even on technically demanding trails.

As long as the flasks (500 ml) are filled to capacity, stowing them is a bit fiddly. Also, accessing the smartphone stored on the same side isn't super easy, though still manageable enough. However, once you've taken the first sip, neither issue remains. And if you use 250 ml flasks from the start, it’s not an issue at all.

Compared to other tights I know and use, the material here is quite firm, slightly thicker, and less stretchy.

However, the thickness of the material doesn't bother me—even during runs in the heat.

Personally, the fit in the crotch isn't particularly snug for me, so I generally wear separate sports briefs underneath, as any kind of bounce bothers me while running. Otherwise, the tights fit excellently.

All in all, these tights are so great that I have no desire to look for another model. Yes, for short, shorter, and some medium-length sessions, I still prefer choosing a different model from my wardrobe; but for most long runs (with or without an extra running vest)—and certainly for any long-distance event (plus vest)—it’s strictly the M's 8" Trail Half Tight!

The only thing I’d change is sewing the carabiner loop into one of the two front pockets beneath the waistband—or adding a second one there.

To me, it makes no sense to keep the key in one of the most frequently used, most accessible, and largest pockets—the ones I reach into often during a run.
After all, I only need the key once: at the end of the run.

Oh, and please: an EU warehouse with cheaper shipping and return terms. That would be a dream! Though, to be fair, delivery is already super fast as it is.

Recommended to me by Holly Stables and honestly, these are so well made and so comfortable. I’ll be using these for a marathon and it perfectly holds a 350ml water bottle in the side pocket, which is easy to pull out and put back with just one hand. Plenty of space for gels and phone and a handy little key pocket too.

Purchased 2 of these shorts & I’m really pleased with them. I’m 6’2” & 90kg (having lost 65kg over 2yrs) and these keep everything where it should be! Have half tights from many brands but these fit better, are lighter & more durable than all others I’ve tried. Exceptional fit and comfort with really useful storage on my runs from 5k to half marathons. Thoroughly recommend 👍
