M's 4" Pinnacle R.D. Short 2-in-1

I'm not sure if perfection exists, but this is pretty close. The lined inner has proven extremely comfortable. Zero chaffing on 55k prep run, just super comfortable. One of the few lined inners that can actually carry my large phone (and on the other leg easily a whole handful of gels) with the bounce staying under control. The integrated storage band around the waist is as close to my 'naked belt' as I've ever seen in actual shorts. I have been running with 5+ gels, keys, and a 500ml softie in the storage around the waist - it grips better once i've started sweating a little bit and i wonder if a size down would have better traction for me, but it's still pretty darn good.

For my next ultra I'll be using it as the grab-able storage for ~12-15 gels (as well as my phone) but will carry water in my vest as 2 softies will be too much.

It's a one of a kind short, and clearly designed by someone who understands the challenge of carrying a lot while staying light. really love it

Great light and comfortable wear

I agree with a previous review that these are a functional miss due to the lack of adjustability/tightening element on the waist band. I gave up trying to carry a 500ml softy in the back pouch as it just sagged down effecting the fit of the shorts.

I would've returned them if I could have but will just look to resell them else where. Great concept, absolutely look the part, just not as functional as they should be for the price. Sorry! Love all of your products, but these were a miss for me.

Very comfortable but they dont hold gels very well and the shorts fall down if weighted with gels to much. But without gels they are great shorts.

I have been a loyal customer of this brand for years and generally love their products. I was thrilled when they finally launched a trail running short with storage capacity, as I had been waiting for this feature for a long time. I immediately ordered the Shorts in XL, my usual size, and the fit of the shorts themselves is perfect.

However, I am quite disappointed with the execution of the storage belt. When loaded with two 500ml soft flasks for a long run, the belt slides down significantly because it lacks a drawcord to tighten it securely around the waist. Without this adjustment option, the shorts slip down to the point where they feel like they are falling off. It is a shame that such a promising product misses this crucial detail for stability. I hope the brand will add a drawcord in future versions, as the concept is great but the current implementation lets it down.
